This pedal is sturdy, very stable and is wider than the original Rock Band pedal. It's also quieter than the Rock Band pedal.
It is made out of plastic, with the pedal which has a metal plating over it. Also, it has the holes cut out which allows it to be placed where you can a rock band pedal on the Rock Band drums,
It also came with a splitter, to allow double pedals.
There's a little switch on a box on the wire which selects between Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
I'd highly recommend this pedal to anyone who is looking for a cheap alternative to replace their current pedal.

Bought this for my son, after the original Rock Band pedal broke! He highly recommends it - it is sturdy, very stable and has great graphics!!!
Most excellent, and it works with both Guitar Hero and Rock Band which is a bonus!

If like me, you've played drums on Rockband and have started getting to the expert level which involes a lot of fast double hits and constant beats you will have experienced that it is incredibly hard to do with the stock pedal, as it has no weight to it whatsoever.
This pedal combats that, and adds some weight to the pedal by adding a metal plate (with a skeleton on it!), which really helps with those fast hits and constant beats.
It has a switch around halfway up the cable that says 'Guitar Hero' and 'Rockband' on it, now at first I was confused, and when I put Guitar Hero: Metallica in my xbox, I switched the pedal to 'Guitar Hero' mode and it didn't work, after that I thought for a bit and it seems the switch is for what drumset you use it with, not what game.
Overall, if you're fed up with failing out of songs on Expert and want a more sturdy, durable and reliable pedal, this is the one to get, it won't let you down

I think this rockband/guitar hero pedal is the best I have ever used. It is better because it is easier to get multiple pedal notes and the pedal goes down much easier than the original pedal and can be used on rockband drums and guitar hero drums by using the rockband/guitar hero switch. It also comes with a splitter to connect another pedal which can be the original rock band or guitar hero pedal or another one of these.
As other reviews have read, when the pedal is pressed down, they heard a crack, that is pure bs as they must either be putting way too much pressure on or pressing the pedal in the wrong way.
But personally, in my opinion, it is a must buy for a better pedal or replacing a broken one.

Bought this pedal as I have just got Beatles Rock Band and the new Guitar Hero, not going anywhere Bland Hero... Very sturdy and steady, comes in a great coffin shaped box and even has a skeleton on the design so very rock and roll. Quite a cool product. Only issue I had was it being out of stock for a few weeks.
